La Cañada-raised retreat facilitator Arielle Ford hosted her first POC Campout in Oregon this past May, gathering a group of mostly Black participants for four nights and five days of ancestral skill sharing, nature immersion and intentional community. With more gatherings planned for the fall and beyond, Ford is on a mission to help people of color reclaim their relationship with the land and each other, one campfire at a time.
